Photos stay in your browser first
When you open a photo in the Paint Visualizer or Remodel Designer, it is processed on your own device. Your in-progress work (the photo, masks, and color choices) may be saved in your browser’s local storage so you do not lose it while signing in. It is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time with the discard option in the tools or in your account.
When photos are uploaded
Photos are uploaded to our server only when you take an action that needs it: saving a preview to attach to an estimate request, generating an AI Design Concept, or attaching photos to a request. Uploading requires signing in so photos can be tied to your account.
- Uploads are stored privately. They are not placed in any public gallery.
- Only you, and authorized Go 2 staff after you submit a request, can view them. Images are delivered through links that expire after about 10 minutes.
- Location and other embedded metadata are removed, and images are validated and resized on the server.
- Uploading a photo does not send it to the business as a lead. Your project is shared only when you explicitly submit an estimate request.
Unsubmitted uploads
Uploads that are never attached to a submitted request are treated as abandoned and are deleted after a retention period, currently configured as 7 days. You can also discard your unsubmitted uploads yourself. Owner review: confirm this retention period.
AI Design Concepts
If you choose to generate a concept in the Remodel Designer, your room photo, optional inspiration image, and written design brief are sent to a third-party AI image service to create the concept. You are asked for consent before each generation. We do not make claims about whether the provider uses or retains submitted images, because those settings have not been verified. Owner review: confirm the provider’s data use and retention terms before launch.
Estimate requests
When you submit an estimate request, we store your name, email, optional phone number, contact preference, project details, and any attachments you chose to include. This information is used to review and respond to your inquiry. Email notifications to the business are not currently configured. Owner review: decide how long completed and closed inquiries are kept.
Accounts
Sign-in is provided by Clerk, an authentication service. Your account is used to protect your private uploads.
Analytics
The site uses the existing publishing analytics tracker for action counts when that tracker is enabled. Optional Google Analytics is supported as a fallback only when the owner configures an analytics ID and you allow it. Events are sent to one tracker, not both. Actions include phone or email link clicks, starting a visualization, and saving an estimate request. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, project descriptions, photos and private image links are not included in event properties. Do not include personal information in website URLs. Google may process device and network information after you consent. Advertising personalization is disabled for the Google fallback.
(available when the Google fallback is configured). Declining does not prevent you from using the site. Publishing analytics is configured separately by the site owner.
